SEAL Team ends with season 7; Independent Films Don’t Move Forward

Paramount+’s David Boreanaz-starred SEAL Team will embark on its final mission in 2024, with the streaming service confirming that the military drama will end with its upcoming seventh season (projected ant is 10 episodes long). Starring Boreanaz, Max Thieriot, Neil Brown Jr., AJ Buckley, Toni Trucks and Raffi Barsoumian, the series originated on CBS before moving to Paramount+ – with the streamer having announced a second season seven in January this year. Additionally, the indie film announced for 2022 will not be moving forward.
“For six seasons, I have been blessed and blessed to be part of an outstanding cast and crew,” Boreanaz shared in a statement. “Every day that passes is a thank you to the men and women of the military and our exceptional OPS. I thank our fans and I’m proud that we were able to make This show shines light into the darkness that plagues so much suffering today. I look forward to season seven and the opportunity to end this series with love and gratitude.”
SEAL TEAM is a military film that follows the professional and personal lives of the most elite unit of the Navy SEALs as they train, plan and execute the most dangerous, high-risk missions that our country can claim. Jason Hayes (Boreanaz) is the strong, respected leader of the Tier One team, whose family life suffers due to his vast warrior existence.
His team includes his trusted confidant, Ray Perry (Brown, Jr.), the longest-tenured executive with whom Jason shares an ingrained shorthand; Sonny Quinn (Buckley), a loyal, exceptional soldier with a checkered past but still fighting self-destructive tendencies; Clay Spenser (Thieriot), a young, multilingual second-generation SEAL with insatiable energy and dedication; Omar Hamza (Barsoumian), a senior leader with fifteen years of experience as a SEAL, the son of a Syrian immigrant with a deep understanding of the Middle East. Critical to the team’s success is Lieutenant Lisa Davis (Trucks), an officer in charge of precision.
Produced by CBS Studios, Paramount+’s SEAL Team is executive produced by Spencer Hudnut, Christopher Chulack, Sarah Timberman, Carl Beverly, Mark Owen and David Boreanaz.
