SEAL Team season 5: David Boreanaz begs CBS for extension amid ‘Let’s Go!’ cancellation rumors

SEAL Team season 5: David Boreanaz pleas for CBS renewal amid cancel rumours 'Let's go!' | TV & Radio | Showbiz & TV | Express.co.uk
Just a few days ago, CBS announced additional seasons of NCIS, S.W.A.T, Bull, Magnum P.I, and Blue Bloods are coming. One show missing from the list is SEAL Team, and the show’s star David Boreanaz used his social media to rally support to convince the network to greenlight a fifth season.
Addressing his 700,000 followers on Twitter, David posted: “Let’s go, CBS – let’s renew this show.”
He also retweeted several pleas from fans, one of which accused CBS of “poor judgment” for renewing “a bunch of shows” and leaving “the rest hanging.”

The star also took to his Instagram account, where he shared an image with his 664,000 followers, which read: “Let’s keep going @cbstv Thank you to all the fans and veterans have supported and loved this program. @sealteamcbs #ReNew this show. #NeverOutoftheFight.”

This image is a photo of him with a veteran who is said to be in the hospital with the words “The real vets are the real heroes behind the CBS “Seal Team”” at the top .
SEAL Team is a fairly successful show, averaging over 4 million weekly viewers and a demo rating of 0.5.

However, the fourth season saw a decrease of 17 and 24% compared to the third season’s numbers.

As for its position on the CBS drama ratings, out of 14 original shows, it was Number 10 in the demo (beating out S.W.A.T and the renewed Bull) and 12th in total audience (once defeat S.W.A.T).

It comes after the popular show’s fourth season saw the departure of two main cast members – Jessica Pare and Judd Lomand – whose departure was a result of cost-cutting, according to reports suggested.
SEAL Team isn’t the only show waiting to hear from CBS about a renewal; All Rise, B Positive, Clarice and NCIS: Los Angeles The Unicorn as well as United States of Al are waiting to hear their fate.

Fans have taken to several forums and social media to ask CBS about a fifth season of SEAL Team.

One comment read: “Please renew SealTeam, this is my favorite TV show!”

“This show gives audiences the opportunity to see what our veterans go through as they rub their bellies back home. Let’s air it a little longer as a reminder,” another person argued.
A third added: “CBS needs to renew one of the best shows on TV. I wait every week to watch this show. EXTEND SEAL TEAM!!!!”

“Seal Team is one of my many favorite shows on CBS! Not renewing the show would be a serious harm to millions of loyal fans,” one fan mentioned.

As for why the show might not be renewed, let’s compare SEAL Team to S.W.A.T – two action series that focus on an ensemble cast behind a central star.

Both shows began in fall 2017 and are currently in their fourth season
