David Boreanaz urges fans to help save ‘SEAL Team’

Last week, CBS announced its series renewal slate for the 2021-22 season, and military drama “SEAL Team” was the most prominent show not on the list. The good news is that it hasn’t been canceled yet, but the uncertainty is making fans nervous.
David Boreanaz plays team leader Jason Hayes on “SEAL Team,” and he urged fans to let CBS know they want another season by taking the renewal campaign to Twitter.
When you’re fighting to save your job as well as the jobs of hundreds of people who work on your cast and crew, it’s best to pull out the big guns. Boreanaz was not afraid to badmouth CBS, adding a photo of him visiting an unnamed wounded warrior in the hospital and dropping a bombshell made of his own truth: “Real vets are the true heroes behind the CBS Seal Team.”
Boreanaz also posted the same photo on Instagram and added a bit of his caption there. “Keep it up @cbstv Thank you to all the fans and veterans for your support and love of this show. @sealteamcbs #ReNew this show. #Neverstopfighting”
The apostrophe issue aside, it was a direct appeal to the actor’s fans that flooded CBS television with requests to keep his show on the air. Fan appeals have previously worked for shows like “Chuck,” “Brooklyn Nine-Nine,” “Friday Night Lights” and “Nashville,” so it’s possible Boreanaz’s effort to Putting pressure on the network will be effective.

“SEAL Team” has been a solid if not spectacularly successful show over its four seasons. Boreanaz has been a regular presence on network television for the past 25 years with starring roles on “Buffy the Vampire Slayer,” “Angel” and “Bones.” He is a long-awaited actor with this film.
Since so many real-life SEAL missions are completely secret with details left out for our personal entertainment, the series has shifted from non-stop action to focus more on How life in special operations harms personal life back home.
What was especially surprising to the “SEAL Team” crew was that CBS had renewed “S.W.A.T.”, a police show starring Shemar Moore as a Marine veteran commanding legendary tactical shooter of Los Angeles.
“SEAL Team” has a loyal audience but it is not an expensive show to make. Will fans save this series or will CBS try something different in next season’s timeslot? Keep stable.
