The good news is that the movie comes from the same team as the  TV series, but right now we don’t know how they will interact. There is some speculation that the show will tie the events at the end of Season 5 into a new era, giving the show a chance to introduce new characters.

That partly comes from the wording of the announcement, which said that CBS would “expand its storytelling universe,” though it could simply be a reference to the fact that it’s offering SEAL Team content in a different way. other format. We doubt we’ll know more than once Season 6 airs.

The good news is that SEAL Team is coming to Paramount+ on September 18, 2022.

Paramount has released the trailer for the new season, giving us a look at the characters it will focus on and some plot hints. There are spoilers below, so if you haven’t finished watching Part 5, go read another part.
The trailer gives us a glimpse of the expected cast. Thanks to early reports from Deadline, we know that Max Thieriot – Clay Spencer – will be there, but with another project – Fire Country – where Thieriot will star and produce, the character’s time in SEAL teams can be limited. That seems to be the case in the trailer: it looks like Clay is the most seriously injured, and while we know he’s back in the hospital, it’s not revealed whether he survived or not.
Other major stars – including David Boreanaz (Jason Hayes), Jessica Pare (Mandy Ellis), Neil Brown Jr (Ray Perry), A J Buckley (Sonny Quinn) and Toni Trucks (Lisa Davis) in major roles all appear in the trailer, so it seems like their roles continue.

However, there has been an addition to the list. Deadline reports that Raffi Barsoumian has been cast as Omar and will appear as a series regular, playing a SEAL with 15 years of experience and a deep understanding of the Middle East.
