Home and Away star Jacqui Purvis has paid tribute to the show after her last scenes as Felicity Newman aired this week, thanking the crew and cast for an ‘incredible three years’.

In case you’ve missed the 157 articles I’ve already written about Felicity’s death and how much it’s ruined all of us Home and Away fans for life, the TL;DR is: Felicity suffered a brain aneurysm just after her brother Cash’s engagement party to her bestie Eden and, well, she didn’t survive. Earlier this week, Cash made the difficult decision to turn off her life support, Tane made us all cry with his emotional haka in dedication to the love of his life, and we’ll probably all lose it again as the funeral scene airs either tonight or tomorrow night.

Jacqui broke her silence on Felicity’s departure last week, telling Yahoo Lifestyle: “I’ve had an incredible time on the show. Some of the best years of my life… however, I knew I wanted an international career, so, I had to make the decision to leave and take the plunge.”

Now Jacqui has taken to Instagram to thank the crew, cast, and fans of Home and Away, but perhaps most importantly, she paid tribute to Ethan Browne who plays on-screen love interest and ex-husband Tane Parata.

“What a life!! Thank you to @homeandaway for an incredible three years. Had an absolute blast. This is just a snippet of the love I have for the cast and crew, a lot of people are missing,” she wrote.

“There’s too many people to thank but most importantly to @atlas143 for helping create a beautiful love story. And to the fans for your undying support, thank you for allowing Flick into your homes. I hope she brought you as much joy as she did me,” Jacqui finished the post.

“What a journey indeed! You brought ‘Tanicity’ to life, and injected a thunderous energy to the Bay! Thank you for gracing us all with it🌟You are going to be sorely missed, my friend,” Ethan Browne wrote in response, with other Home and Away co-stars also flooding Jacqui’s comment section.

“You’re a special one, my girl, and greatly missed! Go show the world how magical and marvellous you are,” Stephanie Panazzo said. “Miss you Jacs ❤️” Juliet Godwin commented, while Tristan Gorey wrote, “One for the scrapbook! Here’s to your exciting future Jac!”

Jacqui’s Instagram was also inundated with comments from dedicated Home and Away fans.

“Oh Jacqui, you are so missed already. Thank you for creating such a unique character and for throwing all of your energy and every emotion possible into her. Felicity Newman will never be forgotten!” one fan said.

“Thank you for all your hard work for bringing Flick to life! Loved her from the day you first came on our screen and loved your energy, rawness and highs and lows you showed her through. You brought Tanicity to life with your immaculate chemistry with Ethan and don’t think I’ve ever loved a fictional couple as much as I did those two,” another fan said. “I’m going to miss seeing your face every night but I know wherever you go you’re going to bring magic and I wish you all the best for your next adventure! Thank you, Jacqui, you’re truly an amazing actress and going to go so far!”
