General Hospital (GH) spoilers reveal that Sonny Corinthos (Maurice Benard) will reevaluate his life and start thinking about what’s most important.

It’s obvious that Sonny’s got some health issues he needs to deal with now that he’s collapsed at the boxing gym. However, something good could come out of

this crisis in the end. Sonny’s going to head down a different road in the coming weeks, so his apparent heart problems could force him to take a step back from the mob.

In fact, Sonny could get out of the mob altogether and perhaps spend more time with his family in retirement. Since we’re gearing up for a major Sonny transformation, that could affect his love life as well.

The show’s been trying to build a romance between Sonny and Natalia Ramirez (Eva LaRue), but it’s arguably just not working. Natalia and Sonny haven’t proven to be a very popular pairing on social media since they just don’t have much chemistry.

Maybe this could be GH writers’ chance to send Sonny in a different direction romantically. Could Sonny and Carly Spencer (Laura Wright) end up on a path to a reunion?

Of course, we should mention that Carly and Jack Brennan (Charles Mesure) are slowly falling for each other, but the show hasn’t locked them into a long-term future yet. There’s room for some challenges and curveballs to shake things up.

Brennan is keeping some secrets from Carly about his agenda in Port Charles, so that could affect their budding relationship.

If Brennan is concealing criminal activities that could tear this romance apart, Carly might eventually seek comfort in Sonny’s arms – and perhaps his bed, too!

Carly pretended to sleep with Sonny to give him an alibi the night of Agent John “Jagger” Cates’ (Adam J. Harrington) demise, which led to speculation that Sonny and Carly might get back together.

That didn’t happen, but maybe the story was delayed rather than changed. It’s possible that Sonny’s heart problems and mob departure could push him toward Carly again.

Sonny and Carly might raise Donna Corinthos (Scarlett Spears) as a reunited couple somewhere down the line. Could you get on board with a romantic do-over for Carly and Sonny?
