Coronation Street Betsy’s real baby dad ‘revealed’ in pregnancy twist – it’s not Mason
Coronation Street’s Betsy Swain is set for a shock pregnancy twist, fans have predicted – but Mason Radcliffe isn’t the father.
Troublemaker Betsy (Sydney Martin) made her debut earlier this year, as the daughter of DS Lisa Swain (Vicky Myers). And it didn’t take her long to cause plenty of drama on the cobbles.
As well as getting involved with sicko solicitor Joel Deering (Calum Lill), Betsy was also responsible for letting thugs Logan (Harry Lowbridge) and Matty (Seamus McGoff) rob Carla Connor’s (Alison King) factory.
Betsy allowed them to steal all the equipment, in exchange for them to stop harming and threatening their brother Mason (Luca Toolan). However, things took a dramatic turn when the thugs attacked Carla as they made an escape.
Mason and Betsy are now an item
Recently though, Betsy has grown closer to Mason, thanks to Sally (Sally Dynevor) and Tim (Joe Duttine) who have helped Mason become more settled in his life.
And in Wednesday’s episode (January 1), with romance on his mind, Mason arranged a date for Betsy at No.4. Betsy then turned up to find a three-course candlelit meal awaiting her much to her delight. The pair were then seen kissing, before making their way upstairs.
Fans have predicted a shock teen pregnancy storyline
Now, fans are certain Betsy is set for a shock pregnancy storyline – but in what would be a huge twist, some viewers reckon Mason isn’t the real father.
On a Corrie Facebook fan page, one person wrote: “Teenage pregnancy incoming for Betsy.” Someone else penned: “Let’s hope Mason’s not the father.” A third put forward another potential baby father and wrote: “His brothers? Could be either of them.” Another agreed: “That’s true.”
Fans have ‘worked out’ her real baby father
Meanwhile, spoilers reveal that Mason will get stabbed next week during an altercation with his brothers at the precinct. In horror scenes, Abi Webster (Sally Carman-Duttine) rushes over to help a bleeding Mason.
She uses her scarf to try and stem the bleeding and after she shouts for help, an ambulance is called. The paramedics arrive and Dylan explains that Mason has been stabbed by his brothers using a zombie knife.
