Coronation Street‘s Leanne Battersby will suffer an embarrassing incident amid her ill-fated revenge against Nick Tilsley and her sister Toyah.
In scenes airing next week, Leanne continues feeling isolated as she doesn’t intend to forgive Toyah and Nick for resuming their relationship behind her back.
At the Bistro, Leanne helps herself to a bottle of wine. Spotting Debbie Webster storming out after a row with Ronnie Bailey, Leanne decides to cause more trouble by flirting with him.
Despite Toyah disapproving of her drinking, Leanne orders another bottle of wine and invites herself to join Ronnie. She makes a move on him, provocatively suggesting they should get together.
Her awkward plan comes to an abrupt halt when she realises Nick’s son Sam is at the Bistro and has witnessed her behaviour. Leanne has been trying to win Sam’s trust back ever since she attempted framing Toyah for fraud — but it hasn’t been an easy feat so far.
How will the boy react to seeing Leanne hitting on Ronnie?
Next week, Leanne will also stand trial for fraud after her scheming against Toyah was exposed. In court, she will be given a community order for her crime, though she remains adamant she wants nothing to do with Toyah.
The relationship between the two sisters seems to be at a very difficult turn, but Toyah star Georgia Taylor hopes the two can patch things up.
“They have been through so much but this is next level, and the way things are going, it’s going to take a very long time but I really do hope they can come back together,” the soap star said last month.
