This week, newly engaged couple Danny Romalotti (Michael Damian) and Christine Williams (Lauralee Bell) are back in Genoa City.

The last time the couple were in town, the Genoa City elite were about to embark on a mysterious trip to Nice, France, as they had been invited to the estate of billionaire Aristotle Dumas. Little did they know that so much would change their lives there.

Now that Christine and Danny are back in town, Christine will likely want to find out whatever she can about Chance’s (Conner Floyd) death. The son of her best friend, Nina (Tricia Cast), Christine had known Chance since he was born, but also had a working relationship with him when he was a member of the GCPD.

What to watch for this week on Y&R

The last time Danny and Christine were in town, Danny was happy to learn that his son was following in his musical footsteps and learning how to play the guitar. Daniel (Michael Graziadei) had insisted that he and his teacher, Tessa (Cait Fairbanks) were only friends, and he was nowhere near moving on after Heather’s (Vail Bloom) death.

Since Danny last saw Daniel, have things changed? Just a simple touch on the arm or a hug from Tessa has Daniel feeling closer to her, and it’s stirring up some emotions that he didn’t know he had, or ever would have for anyone again. When the father and son have a chat in the park, Danny recognizes what Daniel is feeling and notes that it sounds like he may be developing feelings for Tessa. Daniel surprises himself by admitting that he is.

Meanwhile, Christine has a favor to ask of Lauren (Tracey Bregman). Is it related to Chance’s death? Or does Christine want Lauren to be her bridesmaid? The two go way back — Lauren even used to sing with Danny. Does she want to go down memory lane?

Of course, being that Lauren is (or was) also good friends with Phyllis, Christine may be recruiting Lauren to keep Phyllis in check and prevent her from being a wedding crasher.
