The Bold and the Beautiful is on to new beginnings after 38 years. Following the summer break, the B&B cast and crew began filming at Sunset Las Palmas, the new studio. Several videos and moments from the big event, including Bradley Bell cutting the ribbon, have been making the rounds.
John McCook & Katherine Kelly Lang Celebrate New Studio
After weeks away from filming, the two longest-running B&B stars, Katherine Kelly Lang (Brooke) and John McCook (Eric), shared moments from their first day at Sunset Las Palmas.
McCook wrote, “38 years playing Eric Forrester and we’re beginning again at Sunset Las Palmas Studio. It’s never too late to try something new. Keep letting me know what you like and what you don’t like. We’re a family.”
Lang shared from her dressing room, where she acknowledged her first day back from summer break and expressed her excitement for new beginnings and making more memories while in a different location.
McCook and Lang helped launch B&B and continue to entertain viewers nearly four decades later.
The official B&B Instagram account also featured a behind-the-scenes look at the actors showing up to celebrate the new studio.
Summer Break Featured a Studio Move
It was unexpected when B&B revealed it was leaving Television City after 38 years. The move to Sunset Las Palmas provided the cast with a month-long break from filming, allowing time to build sets and get things in order.
While it’s true that going dark in the summer isn’t unusual, the CBS soap timed it so that the cast could refresh while the move took place.
Big things are coming following the move from Television City and the CBS lot to Los Angeles and Sunset Las Palmas. With Matthew Atkinson (Thomas) returning and a new beginning in a new place, there is plenty to look forward to for B&B viewers.
