Later, Daisy’s estranged mother Christina Boyd arrives at the Rovers and Daisy feigns surprise. As Christina makes her presence felt at the Rovers, Daisy tells Jenny that she’s not sure she can ever forgive her for the awful things she said.
However, it soon appears that Daisy is out for revenge as spoilers see the barmaid and Christina continue to reel in Jenny as she reveals she has met a great guy called Dom on the dating app.
In a cruel twist, they up the ante with a bouquet of flowers and Christina sends another message. Later, Daisy worries that very soon Jenny is going to want to meet up with Dom in the flesh. Will the duo be rumbled and how will Jenny feel over the betrayal?
It come as actress Amy Robbins, who plays Christina, revealed earlier this year that she had returned to the cobbles. Soap fans will recall that Christina was last seen on the cobbles in April last year.
Taking to Instagram, Amy posted a picture of herself outside the Rovers with actor Tony Maudsley, who plays George Shuttleworth. She penned: “Back at @coronationstreet with my bezzie!”
Amy first joined the cobbles as Christina back in 2023 and appeared on-off on the cobbles until April 2024.
The actress is also known for playing Dr. Jill Weatherill on The Royal, Defence Barrister Milligan in Emmerdale and Caren in EastEnders – to name a few.
Meanwhile, Christina’s return comes as Daisy actress Charlotte Jordan prepares to bow out of the ITV soap after five years.
Charlotte, 29, said of her cobbles departure earlier this year: “My time at Coronation Street is something I’ll always cherish.
“After a brilliant four years for Daisy, it’s time for me to start a new chapter and explore other opportunities.”
She added: “It’s been a privilege to be part of a wonderful institution with even more wonderful colleagues who have taught me so much.”
It remains to be seen what is Daisy’s exit storyline but with the return of her mother Christina, could the two be linked?
