Casualty fans were quick to notice a significant blunder as Tariq made a hasty exit after a terrifying accident. In last night’s episode of the BBC drama, things were looking bleak for the doctor with his future hanging by a thread.
He was in desperate need of backing for his spot on the trauma course, but Siobhan declined to provide him with a character reference due to his short tenure at Holby.
She proposed that he seek out his previous supervisor in Australia, leaving him uncertain. The plot then took a shocking twist when cousin Rash grew suspicious and reached out to the Australian hospital, discovering that Tarid had been involved with patients there, a past behaviour of his.
When confronted, Tariq maintained that his relationship with Yasmin was over, but Rash remained sceptical and urged him to do the right thing and withdraw from the course.

It was evident that nothing had changed when Tariq visited Yasmin at her home after his shift. They started drinking and taking drugs, leading to a heated argument when Tarid suddenly realised he shouldn’t be there, reports the Express.
As he attempted to leave the house, Yasmin tripped and fell off the balcony. As she lay motionless on the ground, a frantic Tariq called Rash, unsure of his next move.
Rash immediately arrived at the scene and was appalled by what he saw. He insisted that Tariq should leave before anyone else arrived, warning him that he would lose his job if they found him in this condition.
Later, Rash discovered Tariq lurking in the hospital corridors, where he confessed: “I’m freaking out.”
Rash angrily responded: “So am I because even if she does make a full recovery we’re screwed, professionally and ethically.”
Tariq tried to justify himself, saying: “We did everything we could.”
But Rash, clearly agitated, hit back: “You have been sleeping with a patient again and you were treating her while drunk, high and I came along and instead of reporting you, I cover for you. I’ve just lied to Stevie, to Teddy.”
He continued, resolute: “If there’s an investigation, I’m telling the truth. I am done protecting you.”

Viewers at home were quick to spot a glaring error in the storyline, taking to Twitter to express their disbelief that Tariq didn’t call an ambulance first.
