Emmerdale‘s Joe Tate has received a sinister threat as part of a storyline involving his half-brother Noah Dingle.

Fans of the soap will know that Joe first arrived back in the village at Christmas where he was treated to a cold reception from Noah who still had some unresolved issues with Joe.

Noah was furious with Joe who let him believe he was dead after he left the village back in 2017 and he recently overheard Joe being rude about the Dingle family.

Since returning to the village, Joe has been seeking another chance from Noah. Joe came close to a breakthrough in tonight’s episode (January 13) when he offered Noah VIP tickets to a Leeds football match.

After finding Joe in the house, Charity kicked him out, accusing Joe of trying to “buy” Noah. Frustrated that Joe seemed to be worming his way back into Noah’s life, Charity told Ross: “This has gotta stop.”

Charity asked Ross to warn Joe off of Noah, saying she would tell Moses that Ross isn’t a “violent thug” if he scares Joe off, adding: “Make sure Joe gets the message this time, yeah?”

After breaking into Home Farm, Ross entered Joe’s bedroom, where he told Joe that he’s a “dead man” if he doesn’t keep away from Noah.

“Charity warned you to stay away from Noah and you still went back for more,” Ross said, before adding: “Noah is a Dingle, not a Tate. Go near him again and you are a dead man.”

Elsewhere, Marlon had a nightmare in which his missing daughter April was found dead by police and the soap finally confirmed her whereabouts when it was revealed that CCTV footage had spotted the teenager in central Leeds.
