Emmerdale’s Kim Tate to face dramatic funeral showdown
Emmerdale’s Kim Tate is set to face a dramatic funeral showdown in the aftermath of Will Taylor’s death.
Will died of a heart attack after suffering from chest pains on the show’s Christmas Day cliffhanger.
He became unwell amid a furious row with his wife Kim over his recent revenge plans, which Joe Tate had exposed.
At first, Kim accused her husband of faking his symptoms for sympathy and then misinterpreted his symptoms as a panic attack.
Kim called 999, and as Will’s condition rapidly worsened, she followed advice from the phone operator to try and help save his life.
Emergency services arrived at the scene and took over from Kim, but they quickly realised that there was nothing they could do for Will and he was pronounced dead.
In scenes set to air in week commencing January 6, Kim faces emotional scenes when she’s confronted while delivering her eulogy at her husband’s funeral.
Will’s daughter Dawn Fletcher is suspicious after hearing the coroner report that her father ‘died of natural causes’ and decides to investigate.
She discovers a USB stick hidden in Will’s belongings. On it, she finds a video with Will accusing Kim of his death.
With Dawn’s suspicions now in full swing, things come to a head at the funeral. As Kim delivers her eulogy, Dawn can’t help herself and interrupts the speech, accusing Kim of murdering Will. With the congregation in shock at her claim, Dawn tells all about the video.
Kim is outraged by the accusation and an argument breaks out, ending when Dawn pushes Kim into Will’s coffin and storms off.
Later, Kim hopes she’s got Dawn back on side as Will’s coffin is lowered into the ground but she looks up to see the police approaching.
Will they believe her when she says she has nothing to do with Will’s death?
