Expect a Rachel switcheroo in the spring!

The 2025 season of Days of our Lives is gearing up for some big changes

to the show, including switching out some familiar faces. One casting

switcheroo fans can expect to see if saying goodbye to Finley Rose Slater and hello to Alice Halsey as Rachel Black.

DAYS Welcomes Alice Halsey

According to TV Line, starting April 24th, fans will see a new Rachel in town when Alice Halsey makes her daytime drama debut. Fans of the TV mini-series Lessons in Chemistry will recognize her from her role as Madeline Zott. She’s also appeared in an episode of Night Court, and plays Kat in the TV series Kindergarten: The Musical.

What’s Next for Rachel?

Will the switcheroo also cause a personality shift for Salem’s biggest brat? Rachel has made quite a name for herself as being a bit brash and sassy with her parents, especially Brady (Eric Martsolf). She’s definitely given her daddy a run for his money and we have to wonder if that will continue in the months to come.

One thing about Rachel is she’s her mama’s child through and through. She takes after Kristen (Stacy Haiduk), and if Brady doesn’t get a firm handle on the child, she could very well turn out like her mother. The last thing the Black family needs is another villain in their midst.

With Alice Halsey stepping into the role, fans are eager to see if Rachel Black’s storyline will take any surprising twists. Will she soften up, or will her mischievous streak only grow stronger? After all, Salem thrives on drama, and Rachel has already proven she’s not one to shy away from stirring the pot.

Halsey’s acting chops and her experience in diverse roles could bring new depth to Rachel’s character. Perhaps we’ll see her navigate her complicated family dynamics in ways we’ve never expected. Could a redemption arc be in the cards, or will Rachel double down on her fiery ways? Either way, viewers can expect plenty of excitement.
