Steph Miligan (Georgia Jay) has reached the end of her tether in her quest to find out what really happened to Anthony Fox (Nicholas Day) in Emmerdale, and now wants to inform the police.
Ever since her granddad disappeared, Steph has been desperate to either get in contact with him, or find out the real reason behind his sudden vanishing. In reality, we know Ruby Fox-Miligan (Beth Cordingly) killed the character, but she is choosing to not tell Steph out of protection, because she doesn’t know Anthony is actually her dad.
Unfortunately for Ruby and Caleb (William Ash) their daughter is persistent, and it’s driving them mad.
Yesterday, Steph made a game-changing discovery when she found a gun in the Mill Cottage safe.
In tonight’s episode, her first task of the day was to confront her parents about the weapon. Caleb told Steph that he used it against Cain (Jeff Hordley) after he learnt about him sleeping with Ruby, but never pulled the trigger.
Steph took the statement and then left, heading up to Butlers to see if Cain told her the same story.
He did exactly this, but Steph failed to realise Caleb had got to Cain first.
Despite the brothers telling Steph the same thing, it wasn’t enough for her. She concluded that the story wasn’t true, because she would’ve heard something about their showdown by now.
But with Cain, Caleb and Ruby all working together, Steph realised she was never going to get the facts out of them.

In the pub with Ross (Michael Parr), Steph told him that she’s going to go to the police, tell them everything, and they’ll be the ones to get Ruby and Caleb to confess.
Ross pointed out that it’s a bold move to report her parents, but Steph was adamant if Ruby and Caleb killed her granddad, they need to face the consequences.
‘I think she’s got to a bit of a dead end. She’s just fed up. I don’t think she fully believes they killed him. The analogy I have is you can think something, but it doesn’t mean you believe it’, star Georgia Jay explained.
‘So when you actually find out the truth it can really throw you. It’s like suspecting someone’s cheating on you – you might suspect it but you might not think it’s true.
‘She just wants this thing solved and she hits a bit of a brick wall because Cain does confirm Caleb’s story. So I think it’s one of those things where she doesn’t know what else to do, or who she can trust.
Georgia added: ‘It’s all closing in on her because she’s thinking who’s involved, who’s lying, who’s not, who’s covering up.
‘She just sees it as a last resort to go to the police and throw her parents under the bus – but does she believe or hope that will happen? God knows.’
