In scenes airing this week in Australia, and soon in the UK, Lacey decides she can’t take any more of the pain and fractured relationships. She tells herself the only way forward is to leave Summer Bay behind. After the barbecue, she sits down with her boyfriend Theo Poulos to talk things through.
But their chat takes a shocking turn when she asks him to come with her and leave the Bay as well. Theo is blindsided. His love for Lacey is strong, but walking away would mean saying goodbye to his Aunt Leah, Uncle Justin, and the life he has built in Summer Bay. Torn between love and family, Theo tells Lacey he needs time to think.
Later, Theo opens up to Justin over a quiet beer. In that moment, he admits to himself that he can’t imagine life without Lacey. Now he’s faced with a huge decision. Will he follow his heart and go with her, or will he stay behind with his family and friends?
