This article contains spoilers for tonight’s Coronation Street, which has not yet aired on TV but is available to watch now on ITVX.
Rob Donovan’s (Marc Baylis) health is in serious decline in tonight’s Coronation Street, but he refuses to accept any medical help.
The convicted killer rocked up on Tracy Barlow’s (Kate Ford) doorstep last night, begging for her help to escape the country.
Reluctantly, Tracy agreed to harbour the fugitive for one night, until his contact could get him a fake passport.
In tonight’s episode, Tracy grew increasingly more tense as Rob prolonged his stay at No.1, asking her for more favours before eventually pulling a gun on her.
However, he insisted he wouldn’t hurt her, and the pair soon began to reflect on their relationship and how things could have been.
It was then that Rob admitted he still loved her, and asked her to join him in fleeing the country.
Tracy was adamant that she wasn’t going to leave with him, instead booking him a single seat on a ferry set to leave the following day.
Unfortunately, his plans began to derail when his infected surgical wound began to bleed.
Viewers will know that Rob recently donated a kidney to sister Carla Connor (Alison King), but didn’t stick around in the hospital long enough to heal from the surgery.

When Tracy noticed the blood, she was completely horrified, but Rob refused to let her ring emergency services, having already made it clear he’d rather die than go back to prison.
However, Tracy stood her ground and refused to stand by and watch him succumb to his injuries.
But Rob was serious, and as she reached for her phone, he pulled his gun on her, insisting that he really would shoot her if she called an ambulance.

Backed into a corner, Tracy followed Rob’s orders and handed him her phone, before he revealed that he wanted to see his sister.
Across the road, Carla was celebrating with Betsy and Lisa Swain (Sydney Martin and Vicky Myers), who believed that Rob had already left the country.
With their guards down and Rob keen to see Carla and get his revenge once and for all, could the factory boss be set to find herself in serious danger?
And with his wounds so severe, will Rob make it out of Weatherfield alive?
