On the day of Rhea’s funeral, Aaron arrives at the ED with baby Elsie, who is struggling to eat. When Jodie steps in to assist, she’s reminded by Siobhan to review the hospital’s code of conduct, following the fallout from her controversial social media video.
After examining Elsie, Jodie discovers the baby has a tongue tie. Although it’s against protocol, she reluctantly agrees to perform the procedure in the ED to help the distressed father and baby. Grateful for her help, Aaron invites Jodie and Dylan to Rhea’s funeral. However, Dylan swiftly declines on behalf of them both, urging Jodie to avoid getting involved.
Despite Dylan’s warning, Jodie’s growing connection to Aaron and Elsie leaves her torn. Will she follow Dylan’s advice, or will her compassion for Aaron draw her to the funeral, further entangling her in the situation?
