Will Trent actor Erika Christensen, who plays detective Angie Polaski, teased that the season 2 finale episode will leave audiences divided. The show follows Special Agent Will Trent (Ramón Rodríguez), who comes of age in Atlanta’s foster system and boasts the highest clearance rate of any Georgia Bureau of Investigation agent. Season 2, episode 9, “Residente o Visitante,” saw Will return from visiting his uncle in Puerto Rico to investigate spree killings targeting convicted child predators. While Will Trent season 3 is already renewed, the season 2 finale will air on May 21, 2024.
Speaking with TV Insider at the Disney Upfronts presentation, Christensen teased that the season 2 finale episode will be highly polarizing for many viewers. The actor also reflects on the show’s future and how writers plan the stories after the season 2 finale. Read her full comment below:
“I honestly think it’s going to be very polarizing. I think some people are actually going to love it and feel vindicated and feel very happy about it. But I think a lot of people are going to be very upset.
I hope we find ourselves in kind of a whole new world. But the writers are so good at embracing everything that we’ve established so far and really staying true to these characters in this world. I’m trying to see also how they’re going to move forward from this finale.”
