The official Will Trent trailer reveals ABC’s new crime procedural series. Based on Karin Slaughter’s bestselling books, the series follows Special Agent Will Trent of the Georgia Bureau of Investigations. Starring Ramón Rodríguez as the titular character, Trent was abandoned at birth and struggled to grow up in Atlanta’s overwhelmed foster care system. Now working to ensure no one has to suffer as he did, Trent has the highest clearance rate at the GBI, despite hiding his dyslexia, and being somewhat of a loner within the system. Slaughter serves as an executive producer for the series, with the pilot episode written by Liz Heldens and Dan Thomsen.

ABC took to social media to reveal the official Will Trent trailer today, offering a first look at the new crime procedural series. The trailer introduces the not-so-average crime scene investigator during a typical day in his fast-paced life. Meet the “objectively hot” special agent in the official Will Trent trailer below:

What To Expect From Will Trent

Will Trent New Show

The Will Trent trailer offers a perfect glimpse at its protagonist, who begins his day by rescuing an abandoned dog, refusing to turn it into a shelter. The crime scene prodigy, with a flair for fashion, is then called upon to investigate the murder of a teenage girl. He is paired with rookie Faith Mitchell (Iantha Richardson) by deputy director Amanda Wagner (Sonja Sohn). Not everyone holds Trent on the same pedestal, with the words “traitor”, “snitch”, and “rat” spray-painted across his car, it’s apparent he has some enemies. Trent’s loner status is further exemplified when an investigator tells him, “look at you with your three-piece suit, like every day’s your wedding day.” Despite being brilliant, it seems not everyone is his biggest fan.
