Fans are predicting how Mack will escape John – and it isn’t going to be easy.

On tonight’s episode of Emmerdale, Mack is still stuck in the old WW2 bunker in the forest and has narrowly avoided sepsis after he was shot with an arrow, but is still fighting a nasty infection. Giving Mack the last antibiotic injection, John says that it is now ‘up to God’ to decide his fate, causing Mack to panic.

Although Mack’s odds do not look great, he still winds John up and tells him how Aaron and Robert kissed on their wedding day. Furious, John storms out of the bunker and finds Aaron talking to someone on the phone planning something when he says “it has to be when John is out” – which fuels his anger about Robert.

Seeing that John is in no mood for surprises, Aaron tells him about buying a hot tub for their new house. Relived that he was not planning an affair, John and Aaron make up and plan a trip back to the village to see the family.

Leaving Aaron again, John heads back to the shelter to give Mack a ‘survival kit’ as he brags about going back to the village for a two-day trip and if he should ‘pass on a message’ to his wife Charity, who is angry with him for disappearing. Mack is then once again in the dark, leaving many to wonder if he will ever escape.

Fans took to X discuss the episode and how he will escape. Among them was @Surfingspaniel, who said: “I presume Mack gets out, one way or another, on Thursday #Emmerdale ” Another fan, @penniless_poet adds: “You know what you have to do Mack? Saw your hand off It’s the only way Just make sure it’s the right hand you saw off cos you only get two chances #Emmerdale “

However, some think it is the end of the road for Mack and he will die. @yvylew said: “#Emmerdale the way #Mack can’t shut his mouth, it’s as if he wants to be killed.”
