CASUALTY favourite Faith Cadogan has had a turbulent few months on the BBC medical drama following the death of her late husband but as her attentions fanes from her family, tragedy strikes.
Faith (played by Kirsty Mitchell) was left shaken a few weeks ago on Casualty when she went off the rails whilst partying and ended up bringing a stranger home who robbed her. The BBC medical drama nurse has been on edge ever since but she has also had to continue raising her children on her own whilst also holding down her job and the agonising shifts it brings. As everything gets on top of her, son Luka Malinovsky (Tom Mulheron) is kidnapped by a predator and as it seems the beginning of a dark new story is about to start, the youngster could make a deadly exit from the television drama. The drama begins during Saturday night’s episode of the Saturday night long-standing drama series as Faith arrives at work, clearly hungover.

Having spent another night on the town partying, it is clear she is not fit state to look after herself, let alone patients.
Tensions begin to rise between her and colleague Stevie Nash (Elinor Lawless) as they try to take care of an injured patient together.
They have been at loggerheads ever since the New Year but Faith’s ongoing drunken antics have caused greater friction between them.
As an argument erupts at the hospital, Luka is left waiting on the side of a football pitch for his grandmother to pick him up.
In a vulnerable state, he is approached by a man called Darren, who uses reverse psychology to get the youngster into his car.
This is the start of a kidnapping attempt, grooming Luka as he tells the child he has got a lot of potential to go all the way.
With his dreams of being a professional footballer on the horizon, the youngster thinks nothing more of it and believes the man is going to help him.
As her son’s terrifying ordeal begins, it suddenly dawns on Faith she has completely forgotten to ask her mother to pick up her son.
She knows there is a big chance he has been taken as there was no one ever going to collect him and she starts to make calls to see where her son is.
Back in the car, Darren is still giving Luka false promises about how he can take him to the next level but things soon turn sinister.
The stranger starts putting his hand on the youngster’s leg and it is clear the child is shaken as he knows what is happening is wrong.
Taking action, he scratches the man’s arm and decides the only way of getting out of the situation is to crash the car.
Holding the steering wheel, he directs the vehicle into the path of an oncoming car and it’s not long before both passengers are rushed to the Emergency Department.
Faith’s colleagues will work hard to ensure they can save the young boy as Darren begins to feed the staff a load of lies.
