On soaps, if a character stays on long enough, they are bound to find themselves in a middle of a love-story. Some are even lucky enough to become part of a super-couple. Recently, fans of The Young and the Restless are starting to suspect that things could spark between two characters: Sharon and Daniel.

Some Fans Have Noticed Things Between Sharon & Daniel On The Young & The Restless

First appearing in 1994, Daniel Romalotti, initially presented as the son of Danny Romalotti and Phyllis Summers, initially had a love story with Lily Winters. Since then, he has had relationships with Amber Moore and Daisy Carter.

Sharon had also been introduced to the soap in 1994. At the time, she had initially been introduced as a love interest for Nicholas Newman. Since then, she’s had relationship with other characters over the years, including other members of the Newman family.

Taking to social media, one fan shared, “Lol….Idk? But every time I see Daniel and Sharon being nice to each other I get a vibe they might become a couple. Or at least get closer to each other.”

The continued, “I doubt the writers would go there. But who knows? It could be interesting to see how Phillis, Lucy & Summer all react though. It’s probably [too] soon since Heather’s death though….”

Anything could happen on a soap. In addition, recently on the soap, Sharon and Daniel have been seen growing closer.

Taking to the comments, one fan who supported the couple also noted, “I have been rooting for Daniel and Sharon for a few months now. And their chemistry today made it seem necessary for something to pop off between them.”

Some Fans Suggested Other Love-Interests For Sharon & Daniel

“They have so much complicated history and anguish between them that can be converted to a fiery, healing, secrete romance. Plus, it would be poetic for Sharon to fall for Phyllis’ son after Phyllis stole her husband.”

However, some fans had mixed ideas over the idea of the two becoming a couple themselves. Some had issue with the age difference between the two. In addition, some thought it was too soon for Daniel following Heather’s death, which he had originally blamed Sharon for.

These feelings have often gone the other way around. As Soaps noted, Sharon had also once blamed Daniel for Cassie’s death.

Added to that, a few fans shared other love-interests on the soap they would like for the characters. That said, not all fans were against the idea. Some comments included:

• “I keep thinking that he and Tessa will end up getting together. They have solid chemistry and I like their scenes together.”
• “How can he even look at Sharon, after she threw his wife’s body into a river. Please, I’ll pass if they go down this path.”
• “No it’s gonna be Daniel and Tessa, Daniel isn’t gonna date the woman who dumped his wife’s body like bad oatmeal in the toilet.”
• “I honestly don’t think Sharon would do that to Phyllis. Plus I think she’s holding out for Nick.”
• “Omg…I got that vibe today as well. Who knows?!?!”
