The intense scenes were filmed in a striking quarry near Chepstow overlooking the River Wye, with both Stevenson and Lawless performing their own stunts. “We spent two days harnessed to each other and the rescue equipment, which made for a fun but physically challenging shoot,” Stevenson reveals. Despite the difficulty, the actor praises the experience of working with Lawless, saying, “You always get something extra with Eli. This episode really deepens the bond between our characters.”

While the outcome of Iain’s fall remains a tightly guarded secret, Stevenson hints at the emotional toll his fate could have on his colleagues. “If Iain doesn’t make it, Faith would be devastated, and Stevie would likely feel an overwhelming sense of guilt. It would be a massive loss for the team.”

Whether or not Iain survives, Stevenson believes his character’s reckless streak, shaped by his past, would remain intact. However, his relationship with Faith and her children adds new weight to the choices he makes. “There’s a family aspect to him now, which makes his decisions more complex, but at his core, Iain is still Iain.”
