Tracy is instructed by Rob to call Carla and invite her to visit Number 1 under the guise of discussing a new business proposal.

When she arrives, Carla is horrified to come face to face with Rob, who’s armed and in pain.

Lisa learns of the hostage situation at Number 1 and worries for Carla’s life. As the situation escalates, a gunshot fires.

At the hospital, there’s an anxious wait for news about the victim. Who was shot and will they survive?

Jenny gifts Rita a voucher for a spa visit and reveals that Daisy’s father invested shares in her name years ago, and she’s now expecting a payout of £60,000.

Jenny decides to conceal her good news, and Daisy continues to stress about the money owed to Carla.

Daniel suggests to Daisy that she move in with him and Bertie, but Daisy decides it would be unfair to abandon Jenny.

Feeling guilty, Jenny offers Daisy the voucher and makes out she bought it as a gift to cheer her up.

Having rumbled Jenny’s secret, Daisy wonders when Jenny will tell her the truth.

Meanwhile, Jenny visits Carla and offers her the £60,000 in part-payment of her debt. Carla turns her down and insists Jenny use it to secure a business loan to pay the debt in full.

Later, Jenny is distracted by a call from the bank while looking after Bertie and lets him out of her sight.

Steve apologises to Cassie for his recent behaviour and the pair resume their romance. Cassie suggests they have a skinny dip in the hot tub and the couple head outside.

Steve and Cassie are horrified to find Bertie in the water and race to save him. Jenny frantically searches the street, as Steve and Cassie exit with Bertie.

Bertie is taken to hospital, and Daisy lashes out at Jenny. When Daisy points out that Bertie could’ve died like Tom, Jenny is devastated.

Dee-Dee confesses to Sarah that she barely slept and is worried whether she’s made the right decision for her baby.

When she confides that the prospective parents don’t feel suitable, Sarah suggests that James and Danny could be the right fit.

Dee-Dee reluctantly agrees to meet James for lunch but experiences a sudden pain. When she suffers a further contraction, James rushes to help.

At the hospital, Dee-Dee is told that she’s having false labour pains, and the baby isn’t ready to come yet.

The situation prompts James to reveal that he and his partner came close to adopting a boy but were left heartbroken when it didn’t work out. The conversation prompts Dee-Dee to have another think about James’s proposal to adopt the baby.

Eileen tells Todd about Julie’s wish to live her final days to the full, and Todd decides to organise a trip to a cocktail bar.

As everyone gets ready, Julie pretends to take her medication but discreetly puts it away.

On the way to the tram, Julie is overcome with pain and narrowly avoids injury from a piece of falling scaffolding.

Site manager Theo apologises for the scaffolding but claims that Julie is faking her pain as it landed nowhere near her. He is mortified when George informs him that Julie has cancer.

Theo tells Todd he’d like to buy Julie flowers as an apology. Feeling chemistry between them, Todd flirts with Theo and shows him the way.

When Todd tells Julie that Theo doesn’t seem that interested, she concocts a plan to bring the two together. Julie makes out Number 11 has a leaky roof and arranges for Theo to visit.

Theo quickly realises he’s been set up and makes it clear to Todd that he’s not gay and instructs Todd and Julie to leave him alone.

However, Todd is surprised when Theo later offers to buy him a drink and it’s clear that there’s a spark. When Todd returns home, he’s thrilled to receive a picture from a dating app profile and realises that it’s Theo.

Following Brody’s continued threats, Sean tries to help Dylan by slipping a glasses case containing a burner phone into Daniel’s schoolbag. Sean calls Dylan in the STC and fills him in on the plan.

In class, while Daniel is distracted by an altercation, Dylan uses the opportunity to search his bag – but is caught out by Daniel.

When Mick gives Debbie an invoice for his recent work on the electrics at the hotel, Debbie makes it clear that she has no intention of paying him the remaining £150.

When Debbie’s purse goes missing, she’s quick to accuse Mick of stealing it and Ronnie confronts him.

Debbie receives a call from the school informing her that Jack has been suspended following a fight.

Debbie pays Mrs Crawshaw a visit and convinces her to lift the suspension.

Later, Debbie tells Jack not to mention the incident to Kevin.
