Then, in the Thursday, January 2, 2025, episode, Philip Kiriakis (John-Paul Lavoisier) explained Chloe and Joy Wesley’s (AlexAnn Hopkins) complicated sisterly dynamic to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein). That’s usually a sign that a character might be coming back. Even more interesting is that on the Thursday, January 2 episode, Joy had quite a tense interaction with Philip. As Joy stormed off, Philip explained to Stephanie Johnson (Abigail Klein) that Joy and Chloe always have issues, but they also protect one another. Joy already foreshadowed that everyone will hate her once they learn the truth.

Alex seemed hopeful that things would turn out okay, but Chanel is furious. Alex already knows from experience how deep Chanel’s rage runs when she feels betrayed. While Chanel should be targeting her rage at Johnny, Joy might be easier prey. While Chanel has lots of support in Salem, Joy basically just has Alex. So, if Chanel creates some kind of campaign to run Joy out of town, Chloe just might show up to defend her little sister. That could create all kinds of complications with several other characters, including Stephanie, Philip, and Alex. So, stay tuned to see what happens next!
