SEAL Team’s Jason Hayes’ Death Confirmed as David Boreanaz Drops Ominous Clue for Season 7
SEAL Team star David Boreanaz has dropped an ominous hint about the end of the military drama’s final season.

The series continues to follow Master Chief Jason Hayes (played by David Boreanaz) and his elite Navy Seal unit, following the departure of the CBS network to streaming platform Paramount+ in 2021.

Season six ended nearly two years ago with the fate of the team uncertain after Jason revealed the extent of his traumatic brain injury and how it affected his performance on recent missions.

He was reprimanded by his superiors, including Eric Blackburn (Judd Lormand), who told him, “You’ve made a terrible mess and left us no choice but to fire you.”

However, Ray Perry (Neil Brown Jr.) came to his aid, informing everyone that he was suffering from PTSD following the kidnapping.

It didn’t take long for the rest of the team – more than two dozen other Navy SEALs – to enlist and reveal their various physical and mental health issues.

Heading into the next season, lead actor David revealed that he knew this would be his last, even before the series was severely affected by last year’s Hollywood strikes.

“For me, this has been a full-circle journey,” he shared candidly.

“Going into [this] season, even before the writers’ strike, I decided that this was my end — that’s something that not a lot of people know about.”

David has led the show for seven seasons so far, so even if SEAL Team is still going, it’s no surprise that he’d want to step back at this stage.

However, showrunner Spencer Hudnut clearly believes the show begins and ends with Jason, and the star even hinted at a tragic end for Master Chief to cap off the series.

When asked if Jason might have a future outside of Bravo, David admitted to TVLine: “I think [spending time with his kids] makes him see a future that he probably still feels a little awkward about.

“Because what he thinks is effective may not be effective. The ultimate crux of this circle for these executives is, ‘How do they handle their kills?’ How does that traumatically impact them on missions and at home?”

Settling back home could prove to be just as challenging as his missions in the season premiere, as the final tour follows the SEALs trying to readjust to normal life.

Unfortunately, he won’t be stable for long, as David teases a gruesome end to one of Jason’s final missions.

“But ultimately, he could be taken by the greatest force of all, which is death,” he said.

“That’s something we have to consider and want to consider.

“How he returns to the battlefield and what happens to him will be interesting.”
