Emmerdale has revealed the truth over the mystery man who’s plotting revenge against Kim Tate.

The ITV soap had kept fans guessing over the unknown person who’s secretly pulling all the strings in the ruthless plan to bring Kim down.

The trouble all started a few weeks ago when Kim’s husband Will Taylor teamed up with her financial advisor Peter to scheme against her.

Peter later revealed that he was working for a third party, who was holding their own grudge against Kim and carefully controlling the situation.

All has now finally been revealed, with Emmerdale‘s Christmas Eve episode confirming that Joe Tate is the man in question. This is sure to be a surprise for Will, who currently believes that Peter’s co-conspirator is Kim’s son Jamie.

Ned Porteous has reprised his role as Joe, who’s now back in the village to give Kim a Christmas that she’ll never forget.

Show bosses have warned that Joe’s return will “send shockwaves” through Home Farm and the wider village. But what is his ultimate goal – could he be playing a much darker game that will have far-reaching consequences for the community?

Speaking about his return, Ned commented: “I’m so excited to be returning to Emmerdale. There’s a lot of unfinished business for Joe, and it feels like the right time for him to make a comeback.
