Shocking Update: Drew Finally Gets What’s Coming To Him on December 19 General Hospital

Drew Cain (Cameron Mathison) is facing a huge blow to his career in the December 19 episode of General Hospital. After winning his political bid,

Drew arrives at Aurora, expecting to get back to work, but what he doesn’t expect is the shocking turn of events that sees him ousted from the company he once led.

Curtis Ashford (Donnell Turner) has taken over, and Drew finds himself out of a job, a victim of a well-executed scheme by Curtis and Michael Corinthos (Chad Duell).

Drew, thinking he could still secretly undermine Curtis and reclaim his CEO position, is hit with a devastating blow. Michael and Curtis have masterminded a plan to tank the company’s stock, buy it out, and seize control of Aurora from Drew. Just when Drew thinks he might have the upper hand, Curtis rubs salt in the wound, sliding Drew’s nameplate off the door and handing it to him with a smirk. Curtis flexes his newfound power, nearly laughing in Drew’s face as he delivers the bad news. While Drew is out of a job, Curtis assures him that he’ll still make money as a minority shareholder. But let’s be real—no one is feeling sorry for Drew in this moment. His downfall seems almost poetic, given the mess he’s created in his personal life.

Drew’s reputation has plummeted, and it’s hard to feel any sympathy for him. He’s made one bad decision after another, from his ill-fated affair with Nina Reeves (Cynthia Watros) to his shocking betrayal of his nephew by sleeping with his wife. His actions have caused a ripple effect throughout Port Charles, and now, he’s facing the consequences.

So, is there any way for Drew to redeem himself? At this point, most people think he’s getting exactly what he deserves. Once hailed as a hero, Drew has quickly become one of Port Charles’ biggest disappointments. To turn things around, he first needs to take responsibility for his actions. Drew has vowed revenge on Michael and Curtis, but any further retaliation would only damage his already tarnished reputation. He needs to own up to the mess with Willow (Katelyn MacMullen), Nina, and the other people he’s hurt, and make a sincere apology—not just words, but a real change in his behavior. Drew needs to step back from Michael’s family and give them the space they deserve. Maybe even take a trip to Washington D.C. to lay low for a while and clear his head.

However, the problem with Drew is his own behavior. He’s brash, impulsive, and always quick to act without thinking. This has been his biggest downfall, and unless he can change his approach, he’s just going to keep digging himself deeper. Redemption is still possible for Drew, but it will require a major attitude shift and some serious self-reflection. For now, it’s unclear whether Drew can rise from this low point, or if his downfall is only just beginning. Fans will have to wait and see if he can find his way back or if his fall from grace is complete.
