Casey Kasprzyk hits back at false claims about a ‘The Bold and the Beautiful’ star.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Casey Kasprzyk isn’t here for the rumor mill spreading lies about one of the show’s stars. The statement is rare, considering Kasprzyk, or anyone else in the CBS soap family, usually doesn’t respond to rumors.
However, one rumor has gained traction, leading Kasprzyk to address the false claims and defend one of his stars. Taking to X, the supervising producers shut down rumors that Thorsten Kaye (Ridge) was being forced out of the show because he has liver cancer.
The Bold and the Beautiful’s Casey Kasprzyk Shuts Down Thorsten Kaye Rumor
On Tuesday, Kasprzyk shared an article that claimed Kaye was battling cancer and fighting for his life. It even indicated that The Bold and the Beautifulwas preparing for the show’s most dramatic storyline in history to accommodate his illness.
“We never comment on rumors like this, but there’s one in particular about Thorsten Kaye that I’d like to state is completely false. Pure trash created for clicks and gossip,” Kazprzyk wrote with a link to the article.
In the comments section, he added, “To the many fans, including my mom, that reached out… please ignore this disgusting made up article.”
The article is full of lies, which are easy to see because Kaye’s name isn’t spelled right. One comment on Kasprzyk’s X mentioned that.
“Exactly! Couldn’t spell Thorsten (or even Ronn’s name) correctly. 🤦♂️,” The Bold and the Beautiful boss shared, referring to Ronn Moss, who originated the role of Ridge on the show.
Kaye is a soap legend, having appeared on All My Children, One Life to Live, Port Charles, and B&B. Kasprzyk shut down these awful rumors as they hit close to home, considering the soap world just lost one of the greats to cancer on August 15.
Mourning Tristan Rogers
The soap world is still reeling from the loss of Tristan Rogers, who passed away this month after a battle with cancer. Tributes have been pouring in for Rogers, from his General Hospital and The Young and the Restless family.
As Parade reported, Rogers’ The Young and the Restless leading lady Jess Walton (Jill) gave fans a trip down memory lane with a classic Y&R clip featuring Jill and Colin. General Hospital star Kimberly McCullough (Robin) also used a throwback to honor her on-screen father after his passing.
Thankfully, the rumors about Thorsten Kaye are just that, and The Bold and the Beautiful’s Kasprzyk is making sure that narrative doesn’t spin out of control.
The Bold and the Beautiful airs weekdays on CBS.
