Will There Be SEAL Team Season 6?
Unfortunately, there is currently no news regarding SEAL Team Season 6.
Since Season 5 has not yet finished airing, it is still early for an official announcement regarding the military drama’s future.
Looking back at the renewal dates for Seasons 4 and 5, fans can expect to hear news about SEAL Team Season 6 as early as May 2022 but hopefully a decision on the show’s fate will come sooner so many.
Additionally, if Season 6 follows the release pattern of previous seasons, the new series could premiere as late as 2022.
SEAL Team has come a long way in the past year. Season 5 premiered on CBS as usual in October 2021, but after airing only four episodes, the show moved to Paramount+ in November 2021.
The fate of SEAL Team will largely depend on series 5’s ratings, which will be measured a little differently than previous seasons due to the move to streaming-only.
The good news is that things are looking very good for SEAL Team ratings.
According to Parrot Analytics, SEAL Team is in higher demand than 99.4% of television series in the US and has an audience demand 18.5 times higher than that of the average television series.
Other factors influencing the future of SEAL Team include creator Benjamin Cavell’s decisions and the availability of the cast.
One thing is for sure: SEAL Team star David Boreanaz. who plays Jason Hayes on the show, was extremely excited about the move to Paramount+ in 2021 and shared what it means for the future of SEAL Teams.
Speaking to TV Insider in 2021 when the move was announced, Boreanaz said: “The four episodes we show at CBS will be a great launching pad into the new world of streaming, and I know we’ll be able to execute your program.” to a deeper, darker place according to the narrative.
“I’m excited about it and it’s going to be a good challenge for us and I know that the cast and crew are up for it.”
He also shared that Network Television’s standards and practices are a “kind of handcuffs” that will no longer apply as much on Paramount+.
Boreanaz reflects: “Obviously, standards and practices are like a handcuff on network television. I’m proud of the show, the character, and what Jason Hayes has accomplished.
